Located a 5 minute drive from San Antonio on the San Jose road, miss this place on a trip to Ibiza and miss out, seriously. Run by the ever cheerful husband and wife team, Andres and Alicia, Sa Soca is knocking on 40 years of serving superb food in pretty surroundings. If you’re looking for an authentic Ibicencan experience then you will not disappointed with wiling away a few hours here.

Sat out on the terrace, shaded by vines, the menu is a great selection of traditional meat dishes, fish and rice dishes. There are always specials which will be explained by one of the multi-lingual proprietors with enviable enthusiasm. We can highly recommend the rabbit stew, leg of lamb, cod gratin and the “Bullit de Peix”, an amazing fish stew. Although this restaurant isn’t really designed to cater for vegetarians as such, the vegetable dishes are superbly done and the extremely generous helpings are enough to sate every appetite. We also have to recommend leaving space for the home-made desserts.

If you like a massive selection of wines then this is another tick in the box for Sa Soca. In fact, if you prefer a large, ‘proper’ wine glass rather than the all to often found thimble goblet then head here as soon as you can.
