Alternative and Affordable Beach Bars of Ibiza

Utopia, San Miguel

Next to the Port of San Miguel, you will need to trek an extra 10 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of to get to get to this Moroccan-inspired oasis. Here you can enjoy the peace whilst sipping a Mojito for 6.50€, enjoy a snack for around 6-7€ or go for one of their unpretentious mains at 11-19€. Considering the private bay and luxurious setting the prices are reasonable, and we can recommend the garlicky Sardines on the menu at 14€ washed down with a glass of wine for a subtle and tasty lunch

Hidden, Cala San Vicente

This, you guessed it, hidden beach bar is tucked away down some steps around the back of Cala San Vicente. Follow them down and you will find a beautiful and quirky restaurant that will inspire adults and children alike. Here you can play a game of giant chess, or maybe you fancy a game of mini-golf where each hole has been designed by a different artist, friend or celebrity pal. You may feel like you have fallen down the rabbit hole in this whacky environment, but the food and award winning cocktails will keep you grounded with their quality and affordable prices. Tapas are around 6€, Salads around 8€,and world-famous cocktails will set you back 10€. To continue the Alice in Wonderland vibes you can even order high-tea to be served at this venue, although they do not offer this service in the height of summer as the heat has a tendency to melt the goods.

Hidden Ibiza

Papaya, Cala Llonga

With perfect views over the white sandy beach of Cala Llonga, Papaya cocktail bar and restaurant ensures that you have the best view in the house. Come in the morning for a healthy breakfast, while away the afternoon over tapas, veggie options and Mexican food or spend the evening with a deliciously good cocktail. If you get down here on a Tuesday or Wednesday then you can catch the bargain offer of two-for-one burgers to keep the troops happy, and if you grab a table on a Saturday you will be treated to an evening of live music from DJ Peter Le Cool.

Chirincana, Cala Martina

Just off the grounds of Camping La Playa’s campsite and down the road from the Punta Arabi Hippy Market, you can’t get more authentic and chilled out than Chirincanca. With views that overlook the beautiful Cala Martina beach and a bohemian, artsy vibe to the decor you can feel yourself unwind the moment you arrive. They host regular music and live performances, including Flamenco shows and “Royal Fridays” where you can enjoy a weekly performance as well as their delicious “Royal Falafel” meal whilst you watch the sun go down. As well as this the bar offers pizzas and bar snacks, with the pear and gorgonzola pizza being highly recommended by all! This is the perfect spot for winding down and people watching amongst some of the most colourful characters of the island.
