menu del dia

Making the most of Menu del Dia offers is by far the most economical way to eat out in Ibiza, so if you haven’t already heard about these lunchtime deals then get ready to thank us. Most restaurants try to make the most of a set menu (which includes two or three courses, sometimes even a drink) which they offer during their less busy hours on week days lunchtimes to lure people in for a hearty sit down meal. For 15€ and under we have rounded up some of the best and most cost-effective places below, so you can sample some great Mediterranean food for less!

Canasuni- Santa Eularia

This restaurant has been described as the best of Santa Eularia by locals and visitors alike. They offer a three course lunchtime offer for 15€ that gives you a choice of at least four starters, four mains and four desserts, although often the options are broader than this. This means that you won’t be stuck for choice, although the Thai salad starter and Cod Gratin main are recommendable if they have them that day. This establishment is a family run affair which means that you will be made to feel right at home whilst your feast like kings.

Los Bodegueros -Ibiza Town

This renowned restaurant offers a delicious Menu del Dia at the fixed price of 12.50€ which gets you three courses (drinks sold separately). Choices such as fried calamari for starters will have your tummy rumbling, but you might choose a lighter option such as gazpacho if you want to save room for the hearty mains on offer such as lamb kofte or gnocci with arabiatta sauce. The menu may change but they promise to always offer at least one meat, one fish and one pasta course to keep everybody happy. This deal is available Monday- Friday from 13-16pm.

Es Ventall- San Antonio

At 15€ a pop you really can’t complain for the quantity and quality offered on this menu del dia. Normally a main alone would set you back anywhere between 11 and 19€ but the bargain midday offer will have you sampling delights such as gazpacho or fresh cheese salad to start, followed by grilled lamb chops or sea bream with fresh vegetables roasted in a wood-fire oven, at a snip of the usual price. To add to the appeal they throw in bread, a drink and dessert included in the price so there really is no need to spend a penny more.

Es Pins – San Lorenzo

If you want to eat where the locals go when they want some honest, traditional food at a very economic price then Es Pins needs to be your next stop. The Menu del Dia is available Monday to Friday and at only 11€ it includes a starter, a main and a dessert. But what keeps people coming back for more is their famous bread and alioli. Both are home-made, the bread is flavoured with a hint of aniseed and baked in their own wood oven, whilst the aloli is ground by hand using only oil and garlic. Whatever their secret is, this appetiser has the island raving, and the rest of your meal is guaranteed to come out just as fresh and authentic.
